KITA AUDIO LAB / SEMI-MODULAR SYNTHESIZER
NUCLEARPHOBIA
Chernobyl-themed semi-modular software synthesizer
NUCLEARPHOBIA is an experimental semi-modular synthesizer with a nuclear power station control-panel interface. Its modules cover oscillation, event triggering, metallic resonance and patch modulation.
CONCEPT
Sound modules and signal connections
Build sounds through connections and modulation between modules, with note triggering, continuous sound and external audio playback.
MODULES
CORE
Generate the base signal with the main oscillator and modulation parameters.
DETECTOR
A Geiger-counter-inspired module that generates pulses using event density and decay parameters.
STRUCTURE
Process sound using metallic resonance and coupling parameters.
Patch modulation
Connect modules with patch cables to route modulation signals to input parameters.
ARCHIVE
Load and play audio files.
MIDI / DRONE
Supports MIDI note triggering and continuous sound in DRONE mode.
RELEASE
0.5.0-beta.2
Windows · VST3 / Standalone
What’s new
MIDI controller values follow the response of the panel knobs. The MIDI setup panel shows input status, the latest CC value and mapping status. The Standalone version adds MIDI input reconnection.
MIDI Learn, custom mappings, MIDI Config saving and import, and templates for generic controllers, Novation Launch Control MK1 and Arturia KeyStep 37 remain available.
Download
Includes the Windows Standalone application (EXE), VST3 plug-in and user guides.
